About Us
pdp Architecture
Our work is driven by three main aspects: People, Design, and Places.
These summarize the entire nature of our firm, with our projects depicting people-centered design and good designs that elevate the value of places. Here, we believe that it is not just about the color, texture, materials nor the underlying engineering systems. It is about generating a flow that keeps the design cycle going.
01.Research
Most of our work starts on researching sites, innovations and relevant technologies related to the project. Our Principal, Cathy Saldaña, has gained recognition for her writing and speaking prowess. She delivers lectures locally and abroad, mostly on her research work on Island Planning & Development, Hospitality Design, Sustainability and Design Collaboration.
02.Service Orientation
Geared towards meeting deadlines, surpassing expectations and enjoying the design process with our clients, to us, the professional service is key to good project execution.
03.Sector Studios
We are generalists in design but specialists in practice. Our studios intersect on Hospitality, Retail Mixed-Use, Healthcare, Island Development, Residential, High-rises, Logistics and Cold Storage, Civic & Government, Corporate, and Master Planning for Architecture, Master Planning, Interior Design, Project Management, & Island Development.
04.Client-centered Platform
Servicing our clients means we keep their needs at the center of the professional circle. How is their vision translated into our drawings? We manage platforms for keeping clients’ requirements at the base of our service pyramid.
05.Environment-focus
We operate with #SDG17 (the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals) and integrate these objectives into our designs and master plans. We study native flora and fauna, understanding the trees and natural eco-systems, the wildlife and aquatic environments. All of these blend with Architecture and modern building technologies.
06.TCQ
Every project begins and ends with Time (Scheduling), Cost (Budget Management) and Quality (Upholding the standards of Design & Construction).
Partner, Principal, Managing Director
Cathy Saldaña, FUAP
Int’l Assoc. AIA, EAROPH, BERDE
and CEO, WEAVE for Collaboration Associates
Cathy Saldaña, an award-winning architect, is best known for her works in Island and Resort Development. She also designed some of the best commercial and mixed-use buildings such as hotels, restaurants, and offices. Largely influenced by her father who worked as an engineer in public housing, she took up Architecture at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. Her work is often contemporary, modern-tropical, and a combination of mid-century and industrial style; creating stories behind every designed space. Over the years, she built a body of work with a distinct, creative, and environmental conservation imprint. She believes that design is not a gender-based talent; it is all about one’s mind, vision, passion, love for the environment, and attention to detail.
